SERIOUSLY FUNNY

FACT: - Abdominal guard was first used in cricket in the year 1874. Helmet was first used in cricket in the year 1974.
IMPLICATION: - It took men 100 years to realize that they need to protect their heads as well.

something to seriously think about!!!!!!

In the parliamentary session on the Mumbai terror attacks, out of a number of speeches made the best was that by young M.P Rahul Gandhi. I would like to mention a few things from his speech that I really liked.
1. We need to start valuing individual life. When we start doing that then firstly, we must take steps to ensure that each and every individual in India is secure and secondly, these attackers, whoever they are need to understand very clearly that there is a cost attached with each individual life they take that they inevitably will have to pay if they continue with such ghastly attacks.
2. The structure of our security agencies is hierarchal. The people at the ground level, who actually have to counter such unfortunate situations, have little power vested in him. We need to realize that this is a country where a police sub inspector has the courage to jump in front of a blazing AK-47 and grab it with his bare hands but does not have the appropriate equipments to do so without having to lay down his life in the process.
3. In Indian political system a lot of people take pride in interfering with the working of the police by interfering in their promotions, transfers etc. we need to stop doing that and respect the fact that there is a fundamental organization capable enough to handle such matters.
4. The people who attacked Mumbai came with a single motive of hurting anyone who was an Indian. They did not attack the Hindus, the Muslims or the Christians; they did not attack the rich or the poor; they did not attack the upper caste or the lower caste; if you were an Indian and you were in Mumbai they wanted to kill you. So, we need to understand that as the enemy sees us as one, we need to act as one. We need to stand united in this war against terror.

BRAVO mister Rahul Gandhi!!!!!! You just hit the nail on the head.

may peace be upon them!!!!!

I am in pain; deeply saddened by the loss the nation has suffered from the recent attempt made to sabotage the peace of our land. It’s a suffocating mist of helplessness that now surrounds me. The glory of nations finance capital has once again been tainted, the spirit of India has once again been challenged, hundreds of families have been shattered and there in nothing I can do about it. Why? Because we are a tolerant nation. When a person slaps me on one cheek I present the other to him. So, when a terrorist attacks Mumbai, I should provide him free access into New Delhi.
‘KI FARAK PAINDA HAI JI!!!!!(What difference does it makes)’. We are a population of over 100 carore, if 150 of die once every year in a terror attack then ‘ki farak painda hai’ or worse ‘ussi ki kar sakde haan’ ( what can we do about it!!!!!) as I said, i am helpless and all helpless can do is pray.
So I pray, I pray to the almighty that may peace be upon those who suffer from these attacks and justice be upon those who deserve no prayers. MAY SANITY AND HUMANITY PREVAIL!! Amen!!!
